RMJM chooses Virtools™ to develop interactive visualisation for USAFE airbase

Virtools™ Dev 2.0 was chosen by RMJM as the principal development tool of interactive 3D applications for the US Air Force Europe.

RMJM, one of the largest international Architectural, Engineering & Master planning companies has chosen Virtools' technology as the principal tool for developing interactive visualisations for the European section of the US Air Force.

Virtools™ Dev 2.0 was also used in producing a real-time model of a large Airbase with over 2000 buildings and structures set in a 4 km2 site. The model enables site personnel to fly around the site and view new proposals and changes.

"Virtools™ Dev 2.0 allowed us to efficiently harness the best technologies in production and delivery of high quality interactive 3D content," says Kam Memarzia - visualisation manager of RMJM. "As the project involved over 2,000 buildings with attached information to represent, it was important that the solution provided photo-realistic image rendering, with a high degree of freedom to create the base design application and ease of distribution and updatablity."
