Virtools™ and ART3000–Le Cube announce the results of the 2nd Annual International 3d3 Contest
Paris, October 17, 2005 - Virtools™,
market leader in the world of interactive 3D development solutions, and the digital arts center ART3000-Le Cube collaborated to organize the 2nd Annual International 3d3 Contest, honoring exceptional student projects created with Virtools technology.
The 3d 3 Contest lauds exploration of new forms of expression using real-time 3D. It seeks to encourage the alliance between students and professionals, to break barriers between the fields of artistic creation and cultural production.
30 international student teams from schools in Europe, the United States, as well as Australia contributed to the contest this year. Bertrand Duplat, Virtools CTO, commented: “The second annual competition was exceptional, both from a technical point of view and quality of graphics and interactivity, but also from the design standpoint. The projects are truly the work of authors and designers with great potential."
Virtools, ART3000 – Le Cube and Arte-tv.com awarded the top three special prizes for artistic expression (ART3000 – Le Cube Special Prize), technical work (Virtools Special Prize) and cultural content (Arte-tv.com Special Prize).
