Back from SIGGRAPH 2007: 7-9 August, San Diego, California, USASIGGRAPH 2007 was a great opportunity to see firsthand Virtools' cutting-edge solutions for creating powerful life-like real-time 3D applications. Attendees had the possibility of getting demos of Virtools 4, its user-friendly graphical programming approach, as well as the new Virtools 4-based Console Solutions, the Khufu immersive experience and other 3DVIA and Dassault Systemes products. We hope that those of you who were able to come also had a chance to take in our booth-partners' presentations and that you discovered more about Virtools' ecosystem. |

Discover a Recreation of the Cloister of the Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert Abbey , during the " Journées Européennes du Patrimoine ", France, 15-16 September 2007.France's " Journées Européennes du Patrimoine " opens monument doors to the public and will this year show a project illustrating Virtools' ability to make old monuments come back to life. Indeed, the partially destroyed cloister of the abbey of Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert has been rebuilt in a virtual model by the UMR CNRS/MCC 694 MAP. The project's most innovative aspect is that the virtual cloister was recreated using the 3D scans of architectural elements (columns, capitals...) preserved at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. Come and discover it the 15th and 16th of September, at Saint-Guilhem-Le-Desert, Hérault (34), France. |
