Dassault Systèmes announces its presence at Laval Virtual, April 18-22, 2007.
Dassault Systèmes will be present at Laval Virtual, the 9th International Conference on Virtual Reality (VR), where it will be showcasing its Virtools 3D real-time solutions. Laval Virtual will be held on April 18-22 in Laval, France at Le Théâtre de Hercé and the Virtools technology will be demonstrated at booth E3. As part of the conference DS’s R&D Director, “3D For All”, Arnaud Ribadeau Dumas will participate in a roundtable discussion entitled, “Virtuality: a real innovation” on Friday, April 30 at 11 am.

Khufu Revealed: A great success!
The Mystery of the Great Pyramid of Kheops was revealed Friday, March 30, at the Geode in Paris, in the biggest Virtual Reality Room of the world with a 400m² screen in relief and real time. This event received worldwide media coverage, as international newspaper, TV and radio talked about the project. Thus, the website www.3ds.com was visited by more than a million of net surfers in a week, becoming part of the 3000 most visited website in the world according to Alexa. Virtools is proud to have helped this project become true. For those who don’t know the secrets of Kheops yet, the realtime 3d content running with Virtools is available on www.3ds.com. Optis, CAA V5 partner of Dassault Systèmes, offers turnkey software solutions, customised software as well as engineering consultancy services for lighting system design, in areas such as consumer electronics, automobile, aerospace and defence. Optis has just chosen Virtools to develop applications which will show the results coming from their light analysis simulations in an interactive and immersive display.

Ignate Games has just released Steam, an online downloadable game developed with Virtools. In this game, you will meet Tisha, a youngster with a knack for trains and trouble, as she travels across the land of Sweetopia. You will battle baddies in candy popping action and try to thwart the Octapone Gang, who have been scrambling the train lines to try and impose a candy prohibition. Steam through this fun and quirky game!
Toyota Auris Ice Experience: test the circuit of the Trophée Andros in a the new Toyota Auris!
Come and discover what it feels like to be a pilot on the snow-bound track of the Trophée Andros. This game, developed with Virtools by AD-Invaders for Toyota, enables you to drive the new Toyota Auris, just as Alain Prost, Olivier Panis and Bertrand Balas.
