Dassault Systèmes and Virtools present: The new Virtools solution for the Nintendo Wii™ console

Virtools will present in exclusivity its new Wii™ Solution for faster and easier developments on Nintendo’s console at the Game Developer Conference, March 5–9 2007, San Francisco, California, USA. Specific components of Virtools 4 solution, the Wii Remote™ building block and Wii Remote client, allow the use of the Wii controllers directly on PCs, and authorized Wii game developers are now able to see results in hours and precisely tune their game. Joint seminar Haption, ART, CEA List and Virtools: a success!

The 13th of February took place a joint seminar presenting various technologies, from Haption, ART, CEA List and Virtools. It was a unique opportunity to try the haptic force-feedback device as well as the ART Fingertracking device, and to see how Virtools technology could be applied using these specific tools. Virtools wants to thank its partners Haption, ART and CEA List, and all the people who came to the event.

Upcoming Mia adventure made with Virtools for the PC/Windows and Macintosh platforms

Kutoka Interactive, a Quebec-based company who develops, publishes and distributes interactive content for kids such as the well known Mia and Didi & Ditto software series, has started building a new Mia adventure based on Virtools technology. The new game won't be available until the middle of 2007, but we promise it will definitely be worth the wait!

The INRS takes the plunge to the Serious Game with Virtools

The INRS (National Institute of Research and Security) launches its first video game to raise people’s awareness of the prevention of professional risks in temporary work. Interim Mission 3D is an interactive video game intended for temporary workers and agencies, as well as companies. The player can choose between the three main actors of the sector: Nicolas, the temporary, Juliette from the agency and Damien, in charge of the company’s management. In order to win, you have to succeed in the three roles without any accident.

Virtual tour of the Toulouse Stadium with Virtools and Immersive Solutions.

The stadium of Toulouse Football Club has been virtually recreated and supporters can now visit the locker-room, the VIP lounge, the terraces and the lawn without leaving their home.  But it’s also a very good tool for the sponsors: with 3D Stadium, you can modify the ads position, insert a company’s logo and observe the immediate impact of these modifications. Immersive Solutions and the TFC also planned the launch of an online shop and ticket booth, offering a preview of the place.

Submarine presents: Crusade in Jeans, developed with Virtools.

Crusade in Jeans is the first large scale PC retail game to be launched with a Dutch feature film. In the game, the player is transported back in time to find himself immerged in a mythical 12th century children’s crusade. There, he must face the many challenges of medieval life in a journey across Europe. Six levels of varied 3D gameplay feature highlights from the story wrapped in an intuitive, child friendly adventure. This game was developed in a short timespan of around 7 months, to coincide with the Dutch release of the English spoken film, which will be released in other regions in 2007. The game has been successfully used in the film marketing campaign and performed well in game retail channels.
