Lexis Numerique is joining successful Virtools Authorized Game Developer Program

Paris, France and Montreal, Canada, December 16, 2005 - Virtools, market leader in the world of interactive 3D development solutions, announced today that Lexis Numerique, famous Alexandra Ledermann series developer, is joining Virtools Authorized Game Developer Program (AGDP).

December 16, 2005 – Virtools, a Dassault Systèmes company (NASDAQ: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), today announced its new partnership with Lexis Numérique, joining the 6 other members of the successful Virtools Authorized Game Developer Program.

Having captured the game market for 8-14 year old girls with the highly successful Alexandra Ledermann 4, 5, Lexis Numérique once again turned to the Virtools engine as they launched their sixth Alexandra Ledermann sequel, featuring the famous horseback rider (www.alexledermann-lejeu.com). As a reminder, the Alexandra Ledermann sequel is published by Ubisoft. Lexis also recently released Incrazyball (www.incrazyball.com), an addicting single player and multiplayer game where you play a marble in different vertiginous environments.

"Developing AAA kid games with heavy constraints – including tied schedules and validation processes – is very complex. Virtools has proven to be a perfect tool to enable us implement, test and validate new features in a fast and effective way. For this kind of projects, our partnership with Virtools gives us the opportunity to focus on what matter: the gameplay. We now look forward to use Virtools to develop new games on consoles" said José Sanchis, CEO of Lexis Numérique.

"The goal of the AGDP is to ensure publishers a high level of expertise on the Virtools development platform" explains Virgile Delporte, VP Sales and Managing Director Americas for Virtools. "Today's games must be prototyped and built faster with no concession on quality, and this is exactly what Virtools is recognized for, and Lexis Numérique is one of these studios who excel in the use of Virtools. We are now proud to expand the program in Europe due to the previous success in North America".

The Virtools Authorized Game Developer Program makes the studios take advantage of the Virtools developers and publisher network and helps them close more business and accelerate their ROI even more.
