Innovative VR training simulator for Continental tires manufacture

Thanks to Virtools technology, Continental is using a 3D interactive tool on the Clairvoix (France) factory site, allowing training operators on the adjustments and dysfunctions of the manufacture of tires. Thanks to this VR system developed by UTC, Continental is considerably reducing the duration of the training of their operators, therefore gaining in productivity and improving the classification of the site compared to the other units.

 


Mega Brands released two new web experiences made with Virtools

MEGA Brands just released two new web experiences on its website! These online applications developed by Frima Studios, of Quebec City, Canada consist in a "3d construction challenge", and a game featuring a Megablok robot fighting against asteroids. MEGA Brands provides stimulating creative experiences for children and families through innovative, well-designed, affordable and high-quality products that are marketed worldwide under leading brands such as MEGA Brands®, ROSE ART®, MAGNETIX® and BOARD DUDES®.

Ubisoft releases Alexandra Lederman 7

Ubisoft releases Alexandra Lederman 7, made with Virtools technology, on the French market on October 26, 2006. The latest of this horse riding game series, developed with the Virtools Life Platform by French Virtools Authorized Game Developer Lexis Numerique, boosts impressive graphics and improved gameplay over the previous versions.

Sensics, Immersion SAS, EADS and Virtools joined forces in a special event

Hosted by EADS Research Center, these two days were dedicated to demonstrations of the joint Sensics, Immersion and Virtools technologies. This specific event was the perfect opportunity to experience the 150-degree field of view and high resolution of the Sensics piSight 150, coupled with highly interactive 3D life-like applications provided on the new Virtools 4 software platform represented by Immersion SAS.



Results of the third Annual International 3d3 Contest

This third edition of the Annual International 3D3 Contest was honouring exceptional student projects created with Virtools technology. Virtools, ART3000 – Le Cube and Arte-tv.com awarded the top three special prizes for artistic expression (ART3000 – Le Cube Special Prize), technical work (Virtools Special Prize) and cultural content (Arte-tv.com Special Prize).
