IMPORTANT UPDATE: Virtools Web Player 3.5.0.32
Due to the court decision Eolas vs. Microsoft, modifications to the way Internet Explorer 6 handles ActiveX require us to update the Virtools Web Player. With the updated version of IE6, using a previous Virtools Web Player (3.5.0.31 and earlier) to load a Virtools composition will result in a pop-up window requesting the end user to activate the Virtools Web Player before displaying the web page. To avoid this pop-up (regardless of which version of Virtools Dev was used to make the Virtools composition), webmasters must update their web page with the new HTML tag listed HERE (http://player.virtools.com/downloads/update3.5.asp).
While the pop-up will no longer appear, the end user will still need to click on the Virtools web application window to activate it.

New record for Virtools VR Pack at Steglitz, a Berlin Shopping Mall
VR Logic (with the collaboration of Fractalis) established a new record for the largest ever display created thanks to Virtools VR Pack. The display, located in Steglitz, a Berlin shopping mall, is composed of 3 domes connected by 2 20-meter long ceilings where 25 projectors broadcast amazing visuals. A total of 35 million pixels (1400 x 1050 per projector) are broadcast by a set of 24 projectors through a 25-node PC cluster. (Note: a future installation will include seven additional projectors.)

Cardioanatomy Site by Entec
Cardioanatomy Site is an online 3D "Interactive Heart Anatomy Viewer" that targets anyone who is interested in the anatomy of the human heart. Especially valuable for medical students, patients and medical experts, Cardioanatomy offers a highly interactive 3D visualization of the heart in its healthy state, but also a realistic representation of the heart in 25 frequently seen heart diseases.

ComLogic Visual solutions will be present at Hannover Messe through Volkswagen AG and PNY Technologies booths.

"Automation Live" is a plattform initialized by the Volkswagen AG to give selected suppliers a chance to show innovative plant concepts and automation solutions in the car manufacturing. Dürr Paintsystems will show a 3D simulation of a paint shop on a stereoscopic powerwall based on Virtools. With this virtual reality tool it is possible to visualize complete paintprocesses in 3D. The realistic simulation helps to shortening the planning time for paintshops. Problems of interfacing several process stations can be faced and solved in early stadiums. Laval Virtual, April 26-28, 2006 in Laval, France
Once again, Virtools looks forward to participating in this year's Laval Virtual, the 8th International Conference and exhibition for Virtual Reality at booth #12. Virtools will showcase the new upcoming VRPack features, while applications made with Virtools will also be displayed in the SasCube, the first French CAVE, and on Virtools VR partners' and clients' booths (EDF, Clarté, Escin, Istia, Nautilus, etc.).

FMX 2006, May 03-06, 2006 in Stuttgart, Germany
